The impact of breeder size on the profitability of beef, wool and sheep meat production is not fully understood within these industries.
In an attempt to address this Yalgoo Partnership, is sponsoring an information day which will present the critical issues applicable to those three industries.
The objective of the information day, will be to help attendees gain a better understanding of:
Why optimising stocking rate is the primary task in the pursuit of profitability.
The role played by breeder size on pasture intake and determining the number of animals that can be grazed.
Relationships between breeder size and kg’s of beef, sheep meat and wool production.
Why breeders do not have to be big to be highly fertile.
The significance of breeder size on surplus breeder income.
All of these technical issues will be referenced to economic outcomes and the implication they have for further wealth creation.
There will be presentations from three specialist speakers.
